The “Culture Cloud” project is creating a cultural data infrastructure for Lower Saxony that enables data sets from museums, archives, libraries, heritage conservation bodies and research institutions to be managed locally whilst remaining searchable centrally. The GWDG Academy course program for the second half of 2026 has now been published. It once again includes several new courses. All courses are held either online or in presence. You can find more detailed information in the respective course descriptions.

AVefi, a new research platform co-developed by the GWDG, that links film collections across institutions and makes them discoverable, is now going live. The interested public will have the opportunity to search the collections of various archives by subject matter as well as technical criteria. In addition to traditional formats, the aim is in particular to make educational, functional and amateur films searchable and citable.
